Pricing and exact release details to be confirmed in the next few weeks so stay tuned Below is an image of the actual box and also work in progress visuals of its content. Enjoy the rest of the end of year festivities. Nice, but all depends on the pricing. I already have the GoW Collection.
Loosely based on Greek mythology , the game is set in ancient Greece with vengeance as its central motif. The player controls the protagonist and former God of War Kratos , after his betrayal at the hands of his father Zeus , King of the Olympian gods. The gameplay is similar to previous installments, focusing on combo-based combat with the player's main weapon—the Blades of Exile—and secondary weapons acquired during the game. It uses quick time events , where the player acts in a timed sequence to defeat strong enemies and bosses. The player can use up to four magical attacks and a power-enhancing ability as alternative combat options, and the game features puzzles and platforming elements.
For all intents and purposes, this is the same title that came out five years ago. Newcomers will likely have to wiki-search summaries of the previous God of War games, as the intro cutscene sets the stage in a very ambiguous, cryptic manner.

Pandora's Box was an artifact in Greek Mythology. Pandora was told not to open it by any means necessary, but, due to her ever-growing curiosity, she opened it and out of the vase came great evils which spread widely across the Earth. However, before she closed the box, Pandora also discovered a power called Hope in it. She then reopened it in an effort to aid mankind, and released Hope to the world as well. After he knew that no mere metal could contain the Evils of the World, Hephaestus forged the Box out of a Power greater than that of the Gods : the Flame of Olympus. The Flame, as lethal as it was beautiful, would kill all who dared touch it, and therefore, was the perfect safeguard for the Box. The key to pacifying the Flame was a child that Hephaestus had created from the flame itself - Pandora.
Word is out about a potentially big glitch in God of War III that allows players to start a new game with all weapons unlocked and at max power to boot. The glitch also substantially cuts down the time required to play the game, as it allows large sections to be skipped since the player has weapons that unlock areas before they are supposed to. One article does claim that the game will crash while using the glitch though. A section involving the Nemean Cestus weapon and the Three Judges does not respond well to hax apparently. It's also worth mentioning that glitches like this can be as dangerous as they are helpful, so be careful and make an additional save file. Unlock Combat Arena by beating the story once and then clearing the Challenges of Olympus mode.

God of War III: Ultimate Trilogy Edition
An epic game needs a truly epic collector's edition, and Sony is delivering just that. Specifically a work of sculpture, as the whole thing comes packed inside a high-end sculpted replica of Pandora's Box. To those of you behind on your Greek mythology, Pandora's Box is the container in which was stored all of the evils of man - hatred, jealous, internet flame wars, MySpace, etc. It was actually a jar, but the case for God of War III wouldn't have fit inside a jar, and neither would the limited-edition God of War art book, featuring interviews, art, and additional content to please fans of the series. Along with the box, game, and book comes a slew of exclusive digital content available on day one of the game's launch. There's a God of War combat arena with seven challenges to overcome; a premium Dominus Kratos skin; a full-length movie documentary called God of War: Unearthing the Legend; the God of War trilogy soundtrack; and the God of War: Blood and Metal EP, which is a heavy metal homage to the series.
Zeus was obviously fear, Athena was greed, Hermes was Disease, as thats what was released on the world when he dies, Hera was grief which explains her depressed attitude, Hades was most likely Malice, and we didnt see posiedon enough to know what he might have gotten.
